GIVEN WITH LOVE
BY SUSAN BERGER
Dear Parents:
Â
We are thrilled that your children can join us for Zach Fox’s Bar Mitzvah on Saturday October 28th.
Â
As the big day gets close, we wanted to share some additional information, especially for those of you whose children may not have been to a Bar Mitzvah before.
Service:Â Â
The service begins at 10:30am at Temple Sinai (3100 Military Rd NW, Washington, DC 20015)
When you pull into the entrance, you can drop your child on the side door – there will likely be a security guard outside – and there will be someone there directing everyone to the Sanctuary. Â
Attire should be appropriate for a religious service, generally slacks/dressy pants/button down or a dress. Sneakers ENCOURAGED!! ;)
In the service, cell phones should be turned off and attendees should be quiet and respectful of the service. Zach’s service will be about an hour and a half – and there will be a casual lunch after. You can plan to pick up your kiddos anywhere between 12:30-13:00pm (prob best to stay in touch with them to find out when they are ready to be fetched).
Party – pick up drop/off
We are going to have buses for the kids departing Somerset Elementary School at 6:20PM ET.
Please add your childs name here if you would like to ride on the bus (so we can plan for everyone…and don’t leave anyone behind!) Â
The party runs from 7:30pm-11:30pm. Attire for the party is fun and festive! There will be tons of food, mocktails, and dessert. Please let me know if your child has any allergies.Â
The evening will be filled with games and dancing. An MC and other adults will oversee the fun, so that everyone will have a great time! Â
Pick Up:
If you want to pick your child up from Autoshop, the party ends at 11:30pm – but we will also have the buses head back to Somerset Elementary at the end of the night.   We expect the bus to be back at Somerset about midnight.
Please let me know if your child plans to ride the bus BACK (again, so we don’t leave anyone!)Â Â
There will be an adult/security guard on the bus to make sure every child is accounted for both when the bus leaves the party – and then at Somerset at the end of the night. Â
If you would like to come pick up your child at the Autoshop – feel free. When you arrive, you are welcome to text your child to meet you outside. There will be a security guard at the door helping children get to the car. You are also welcome to try to find parking and come in to get your child. Whatever is easier for you.
Final Note:Â Â
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out – 202 320 9946 or debbie.berger@gmail.com

Debbie and Nick Fox
